Cavalieri Art hotel presents -my journey to self-love
By Anna Nightingale – March – May 2026
The Cavalieri art hotel announced today the opening of the exhibition My JOURNEY TO SELF-LOVE, which opened on
Thursday, March 5th by HON Minister
Owen Bonnici, H.E Victoria Busby OBE, British High Commissioner to Malta and H.E Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, running until the end of May 2026. This highly anticipated show by British artist Anna Nightingale showcases striking works in a vivid colour palette, crafted to inspire, evoke emotion, and invite viewers to indulge in a story of self-growth and heightened sensory awareness.
The paintings, a union held, happened during Anna’s fortunate recovery from cancer. The narrative you see between a man and a woman describes how meeting happiness from him became the source which drove her to become.
Anna says ‘‘ Having the gift God gave me to self-heal, driving now by myself, I saw that the light seen in him was there because of the way I projected my bright inner light onto him, not on myself. By the time I remembered, you never help togetherness when you see their light, not your own.’’
The works, created in acrylic, capture the onlooker’s attention in their own right, but on closer inspection, each scene unfolding across the canvas reveals an emotional narrative rooted in the artist’s newfound relationship with her own heart.
This explosion of colour and energy powerfully conveys love, freedom, passion, and warmth, each infused with an evolving higher consciousness.
Anna Nightingale adds:
“These paintings share an insight into how not loving myself had terrified love far away from me. I am not talking about receiving love from another; I am talking about the bountiful love one can discover inside.
Only over time does the lesson reveal itself. I did not paint them to make a pretty picture, I painted them to help people.”
