LOVE YOURSELF ABOVE ANYBODY ANYDAY PReview at ta betta wine estates

Thank you to Astrid and Junito for the preview of my show in the magical surroundings of Ta betta wine estates. I am so truly grateful to have been able to show my new work here. Synchronicities, divine timing, Gods will, each and every day amazes me.

You will see in the paintings that they represent the journey I have been on through seeking validation from another  and looking for love outside of myself to realizing I was full up of love inside all by myself, that I could shine alone.

Nicky for the curation, Tim for helping me collect and set up the music system, Sam and Inigo for the photography, Nadine for sowing the seed, Martin, Naomi and Jamie for the brochure, Francesca and Mark at Ilab for the printing and of course my sponsors Bentley Trust, Finco Malta, Express Trailors, Parallel66 and Pierre for providing the canvas that fuelled the fire in me to do this exhibition.

I first heard Lily and Lui when I was head of Art at QSI and I initiated the collaboration, which involved many rehearsals at Temple Studios, Mistra Bay, Malta. It was a  gratitude project from my family for the headmaster who left in July 2024.I am working with the children with my sons father Mike Hedges to record the song “ Lost without you” which synchronistically is about losing yourself,

but as I’ve learnt and as this exhibition represents, you will never lose yourself if you love yourself first.
